YRT Monthly Passes are a convenient, economical way to travel. They offer unlimited travel for the calendar month, are transferable, and can be used by anyone during the month they are valid.
Monthly passes may be purchased using the YRT Pay app or PRESTO card. Customers using TTC bus routes in York Region may purchase paper monthly passes at select ticket vending machines and Fare Media Agents in southern York Region (click here for more details).
Monthly passes for the next month are available for purchase starting on the 18th of the current month. For example, if a customer would like to purchase a February monthly pass, the monthly pass can be purchased as early as January 18th or later.

¹Youth is any person having reached the age of 13, but not having reached the age of 20, and in full-time day attendance at a qualifying educational facility (fare must be accompanied with a valid Student ID card issued by the facility).
²Children are ages 1 to 12. One child between the ages 1 to 5 may ride free with a paying adult. Children under one ride free.
(Children 13 and over still attending elementary school no longer qualify for YRT Child fares; however, a letter from the elementary school principal confirming attendance at the school can be presented in-person at YRT's head office where a student photo ID card will be produced for the child. This student photo ID card will allow for YRT Youth fares. Photo IDs are produced by appointment only; call 905-762-1282 ext. 75600 to book an appointment.)
