Our new brand
YRT has replaced YRT/Viva as the official brand name and master brand. The rebranding stems from our commitment to continually improve our service and the customer experience. A strong, simple brand is essential to providing a transparent service and to put the traveller first. The new brand creates one cohesive transit system under the YRT master brand. The rebranding will streamline YRT's services and offerings, and create a platform to introduce our new family of services: Local, Express, Viva, and On-Demand.

YRT conventional routes cater to local communities across all York Region municipalities. These buses provide service to schools, community centres, shopping areas, seniors' residences, and much more. |

Perfect for business commuters, Express buses provide fast, clean service in comfortable buses that operate during rush hours. These buses make fewer stops to connect busy commuters to major GO Transit terminals and the TTC subway. |

Viva, York Region's Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service, was launched in September 2005. Viva service travels via dedicated bus lanes, or rapidways, along major corridors throughout York Region. When out of mixed traffic, Viva vehicles operate faster than conventional service and avoid congestion. Buses arrive frequently and link York Region to Toronto's subway system and GO Transit. |

Coming this Fall, Mobility Plus and Dial-a-Ride will almalgamate to form On-Demand, creating YRT's newest demand-responsive transit service. The On-Demand service will be accessible to all ages and abilities. It will provide service to York Region residents in low-demand areas, or during low-demand time periods throughout the day. On-Demand will combine with the existing door-to-door accessible service of Mobility Plus for people with physical or functional disabilities. |
