Dial-a-Ride (DAR) North is an on-request service available in the Towns of East Gwillimbury and Georgina. The service connects customers to existing public transit and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

DAR North services a predetermined geographic area for fixed addresses that exceed walking distance of conventional public transit service.
How does DAR North work?
DAR North is an on-request service and rides must be booked in advance. A YRT accessible vehicle will pick you up and drop you off at the closest bus stop. The pick-up and drop-off locations must be within the predetermined service area for DAR North. Please refer to the DAR North map for areas serviced. All passengers must be ready for the scheduled pick up time. The vehicle will not wait for passengers at the requested stop past the scheduled time.
How do I book a ride?
To book a ride during DAR North hours, call 1-844-667-5327 at least 60 minutes in advance of your trip. Customer Service Representatives will assist with trip planning and provide you with the best available travel plans. You may have to wait up to 60 minutes to allow the DAR vehicle to complete other trips. DAR service operates on a first-come, first-served basis.

Do I need to pre-qualify for my ride?
You do not need to pre-qualify.
How do I pay for my ride?
Regular YRT fares apply. The operator will be able to accept all YRT fare media including PRESTO, the YRT Pay app, tickets, passes and exact change. Transfers will be issued.
What are the routes that I can transfer to?
You will be able to transfer to and from Routes 50 - Queensway, 51 - Keswick, 52 - Holland Landing and 58 - Mount Albert.
Why is there a four-bag grocery limit?
This ensures the vehicle will have enough room to transport passengers and their mobility aids first.
