Viva orange (revised schedule)

Beginning Sunday, August 4, Viva orange will service the new Bathurst / Highway 7 vivastations. Travellers may transfer between Viva orange, Route 87 – Autumn Hill and Route 88 – Bathurst at this stop, and stops located on Bathurst Street.

Please note the YRT Trip Planner, YRT App and Google Maps incorrectly display these vivastations as in service; however, these stops are currently not in service and will open on Sunday, August 4.

4/4A - Major Mackenzie (revised route & schedule)

Service Adjustments:

From June 17 to August 30, 2019, York Region is replacing a culvert on Major Mackenzie Drive West, east of McNaughton/Avro Road. During this time, this road area on Major Mackenzie Drive will be closed.

A full closure of the road is required to ensure the work is completed as quickly, efficiently and safely as possible. Access to all surrounding properties will be maintained during this closure.

As a result, the following detour will be in effect:

Route 4/4A –Major Mackenzie will detour on McNaughton Road and Keele Street.

Eastbound stops 2945, 2946, 2947 and 4796 will be placed out of service during the closure.

• Travellers at stop 2945 may board the bus at stop 6230
• Travellers at stop 4796 may board the bus at stop 2948
• Travellers at stops 2946 and 2947 are required to walk to stop 6230 or 2948

Westbound stops 1727, 1729 and 1731 will be placed out of service during the road closure.

• Travellers at stops 1727 and 1729 are required to walk to stop 5808 or 1725
• Travellers at stop 1731 may board the bus at stop 5808

520/521 - Newmarket Local (revised route & schedule)

Service Adjustments:

Route 520/521 will be renamed to Newmarket Local.

Route 521 (Westbound):

• Service at stop 5030 will be moved to stop 2589 on Davis Drive. Stop 5030 will be removed
• Routing around Southlake Hospital will be adjusted. Stops 5307, 4967 and 2233 will not be serviced
• Service to FreshCo will be moved to stop 1974 on Yonge Street. Stop 5021 will be removed

Route 520 (Eastbound):

• Service will be moved onto Davis Drive. Stop 5030 will be removed
• Routing around Southlake Hospital will be adjusted. Stops 4967, 2233, 6202 will not be serviced
• Service to FreshCo will be moved to stop 1974 on Yonge Street. Stop 5021 will be removed
• Service to Food Basics via George Street will be moved to stop 2518 on Yonge Street. Stops 5340 and 6746 will be removed

Saturdays/Sundays/Holidays:

Service Adjustments:

Route 522 will be renamed to Markham Local.

YRT will be reallocating resources to improve routes with higher ridership. As a result, some Route 522 - Markham Local service will be discontinued due to low ridership.

Weekdays:

Route 522 routing along YMCA Boulevard, Rivis Drive, Enterprise Boulevard and Unionville Gate will be discontinued.

Stops 1906, 1907, and 1883 on Kennedy Road between YMCA Boulevard and Enterprise Boulevard will be serviced.

Schedules will be maintained.

Saturdays:

Saturday service will be discontinued.

Alternative options: Routes 1, 8,  16, 41, TTC Routes 102D, 129A and Viva purple

589/590 - Richmond Hill Local (revised schedule)

Service Adjustments:

Route 589/590 will be renamed to Richmond Hill Local.

760 - Vaughan Mills / Wonderland (seasonal adjustments)

Weekdays:

Weekday service from Finch GO Bus Terminal to Canada's Wonderland will be reinstated on Tuesday, July 2 to Friday, August 30. Span of service will match the hours of operation of the park and the mall.

Frequency will be provided as follows:

9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to approximately 22 minutes
12 p.m. to 8 p.m. to approximately 42 minutes
8 p.m. to 11 p.m. to approximately 21 minutes

Saturdays:
Span of service will match the hours of operation of the park and mall.

Frequency will be adjusted to approximately 19 minutes.

Sundays/Holidays:
Span of service will match the hours of operation of the park and mall.

Frequency will be adjusted to approximately 18 minutes.

With the end of the 2018/2019 academic year, all 400-series School Special routes will be suspended for the summer. School Special services will be reinstated in September with the exception of the following routes.
