YRT/Viva is actively working towards achieving a fully accessible website that conforms to the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities standards established by the Ontario government. Accessibility standards are the rules that businesses and organizations in Ontario will have to follow to identify, remove and prevent barriers to accessibility. Ontario is developing standards in many important areas of life including:
- customer service
- employment
- information and communications
- public transportation
- built environment (buildings and other structures)
The Accessible Customer Service Standard is the first of the accessibility standards to become law in Ontario. The Regional Municipality of York has developed an Accessible Customer Service Policy of its own to ensure that our goods and services are accessible to everyone.
We are committed to making this website accessible and easy to use for everyone, at all levels of ability.
If you use assistive technology and the format of any content on this web site interferes with your ability to access the information, please contact our Webmaster and we will make every effort to provide you with a format that is accessible to you.
This website allows people using text-only browsers or other assistive technology to read the content on the page, including text descriptions for all images.
